The hotel refused to give us a full refund despite the infestation. We believe we deserve one for the unacceptable hygiene, stress, risk, and inconvenience. Think twice before staying here. Bed bugs are a nightmare, not a minor problem. At first the room looked clean and nice, but then the bathroom flooded and we found bed bugs everywhere: on the pillows, mattress, ceiling, and even in the bathroom. There were bugs of all sizes, and some were full of blood when killed. Moving the bed to the middle of the room didn't help. They kept showing up on it, so we couldn't rest or feel safe. We had to cut our stay short and wash and dry all our clothes at high temperatures, taking extra care not to bring the pests home. Bed bugs can hide in clothes, luggage, and other belongings, and can be very hard to get rid of. Bringing them home could mean months and hundreds of euros to eliminate them. This cost us time and money and seriously affected the trip.

The location was excellent. The sea was about a five-minute walk away, and the train station was very close. We also got to meet the owners, who were really kind and nice. Still, we waited from 8:30 until 15:00 to check in, with nowhere to leave our luggage. That seemed unprofessional. The reception was far from the accommodation, so we had to run back and forth to pick up and drop off the keys. During our four days there, our towels weren't changed once.

I couldn't sleep because I kept getting bitten and felt the whole place was infested. I booked a room during my stay in Nice, and it was disgusting: filthy, clearly not cleaned properly, and full of bedbugs.

The worst part was finding bedbugs in the room. It had good reviews and nice photos on Booking, so we booked it, but we only saw the Google Maps reviews after our stay. The first impression wasn't good either. A blonde woman came to check us in without even saying good afternoon or welcome. She just opened the door and handed over the key, which felt rude. The room had air conditioning, but they'd taken the remote, so we had to leave the windows open and let in mosquitoes and street noise. When we asked for the remote, they claimed our room had no air conditioning, haha. It seemed like they didn't even know which rooms had what. They gave us one sachet of shampoo and shower gel each, which ran out straight away. The next day there was no replacement, and they didn't bring fresh towels either, so we couldn't even shower.
