Hôtel Saint Georges

A cozy, peaceful hotel with helpful front desk staff. It’s near the grand place of nice, about a 10-15 minute walk from the promenade des Anglais and 5-10 minutes from the train station.

I stayed here for work and had no problems with the accommodation. The room stayed at a pleasant temperature and was quiet despite being in the city center. Whenever I got back, the room and bed were tidy. I’d definitely recommend it to colleagues and anyone visiting Nice.

For the price and how close it is to the coast, this is a great place. The staff were nice and kept the room clean. We did have two problems. Every afternoon, around 3-5pm, the room smelled like eggs and farts. I have no idea why. Also, there was no A/C or fan, and it got extremely hot. The window barely opened, so it didn’t help much.

The location is excellent, close to shops, restaurants, bakeries, the seaside, the old town, both tram lines, and the main railway station. The staff were friendly and helpful. The automatic blinds were another plus, making the room very dark and blocking outside noise. Our room was small and basic but functional. With just two backpacks we had enough space, but two more carry-on bags would have made it a struggle. The bathroom was good, though the towel rail was very dusty, which shouldn’t happen at a four-star hotel. If the hotel called itself three-star, we might have given it four or five stars, but it rates itself four.
