Student Factory Nice Gare Sud

The rooms are quite nice, with a great view, and the beach is just two tram stops away. There was a welcome note from the owner, though our room had some damage in the shower and dirt on the floor. Check-in is fully automated, and it won’t work if you arrive before the stated time. There’s never anyone at reception, and neither of the two support phone numbers worked. I’d rate it 3/5 as it was, or 5/5 if the damage were fixed and someone staffed the support desk.

I spent almost two years living at Student Factory and really enjoyed it. The management were great, always around to answer questions or sort out problems. The studios come furnished and well equipped, and there’s a good shared space for studying. It’s right by the tram, over a large supermarket and next to a big food court. A great choice for students, highly recommend.

We were there for two nights, and the location is perfect. The only thing I didn’t like was the mattress, it was really uncomfortable. Everything else was perfect.

The residence has a private terrace, a co-working space, and a laundromat. It’s also in a convenient spot above a supermarket, in an up-and-coming neighborhood about a 15-minute walk from the city center. The tram stop, around 200 meters away, gets you to the historic old town, port, beach, or university in minutes. There are lots of small businesses, cafes, and bars nearby, plus a lively indoor and outdoor farmers’ market almost every morning. Gare du Sud next door has a public library, a range of restaurants, and occasional live music. Great experience, highly recommend!
