I booked for 492 euros through booking. The screen said 492 euros would be charged, but 536 euros came out of my account. I canceled straight away for that reason, even though I had wanted to stay, and couldn't get a positive answer about a refund. A few days later they admitted the mistake and returned only the extra amount, effectively acknowledging that I had been misled during booking. They said the remaining 492 euros would never be refunded, then said the fee had been taken through booking. At first, they said it was taken through immologist. Because of their mistake, I can't find another hotel that fits my budget now. I'll go to France and be left staying on the street. When I leave, I'll complain to the ministry of tourism, foreign affairs, and all the official bodies, and ask for their licenses to be canceled over fraud. Don't pay upfront to stay here.

Jose's hospitality made our stay memorable. He went out of his way to make the trip smooth, and Studio Cenac was clean, new, well equipped, conveniently located, and safe. I highly recommend it. Thank you, Jose!

The apartment's location was the one good thing. Otherwise, the cleanliness was disappointing: blood on a bath towel, cigarette butts and grime in a mop bucket in the closet, hair on the bed, dust, hair and lint on the floor, and a toilet and shower that needed cleaning again. We contacted the host, who said he'd ask the cleaner to return, but also said we should understand that it was "very, very high season" and they were rushed. Apparently there wasn't time for basic rental hygiene. At my request, the cleaner came back with two small bath towels to replace the bloodstained one, since she had no larger ones. She was meant to bring larger towels the next day, but never did, so luckily there's a Monoprix nearby where we could buy our own. She also didn't ask if we wanted her to clean the apartment, even though it had been neglected and wasn't large. That's frustrating when we'd paid a cleaning fee before arrival. The listing calls the building secure, but the entrance door doesn't work and anyone can walk in without a code. Looking at the Google reviews, I also noticed that the latest ones were written by people with the same last name as the property owner. Coincidence or misleading reviews? 😕
