Hotel Univers

It may be a four-star hotel, but it felt like five stars in every way. The room was clean and tidy, and Enna at reception was kind, very helpful, and spoke English really well. The location is close to everything.

We were lucky to get a room with a balcony overlooking the street. The room and bathroom were tidy and very clean. It’s a cozy hotel in a pedestrian area, within walking distance of old town and the promenade. We missed having a kettle for tea or coffee, which I’d expect in a four-star hotel, and a bit more space for clothes would be nice. Breakfast was OK, with excellent bread and good coffee, but no fruit. The seating area is quite small and could be an issue in the busy season. In November, finding a place wasn't a problem.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the hotel was very clean. Its location is perfect, with everything you need around it. The rooms are basic, and it would be nice to have some water in them. Breakfast is basic too, with limited choice and not much hot food or vegetables. On the first day there was just cucumber, a few slices of ham, cheese, and so on. If you love food, honestly, it won't be enough.

The rooms are a little small, but they’re clean, and the staff are really friendly and helpful. Reception is open 24 hours, and the hotel feels safe. We skipped breakfast, so I can’t comment on it. The walk to the train station takes around 10-15 minutes, but that was no big deal. If you have a late flight, there’s no shower room, though they kindly offered a couple of hours' later checkout. Good hotel overall, in a perfect location.
