Villa le Nid

It's in a great spot, very close to the Liberation Tram station and the market next to it. The proprietor was genuinely helpful and nice. The villa's modern apartments are extremely clean, fully equipped with everything needed, and have a gate at the entrance plus another door for the interior apartments, which made us feel very safe. A good place whether you're out exploring or relaxing indoors.

Jean Luc made us feel welcome, was easy to reach with questions, and shared great ideas for our trip. The location made getting around simple: the Liberation market and tram stop are under five minutes away, the main train station is about ten minutes on foot, and there's a supermarket, bars, and restaurants nearby. We loved his suggestion of Zambetti bakery and picked up baguettes and pastries there every day. The market has fresh fruit, vegetables, and fish. We also really liked the well-kept shared gardens, with loungers, a table, chairs, and little lights for an evening drink. There was a private terrace too, but we preferred the lower garden for breakfast. The apartment had been thought through carefully, with a comfortable bed, lots of storage, and plenty of kitchen supplies. I can't think of anything to fault.

Jean-Luc was attentive and helpful. He walked us through the practical details of the villa and gave us ideas for exploring the city and nearby area. Emails and WhatsApp messages were answered quickly. It was clear he really cares about guests having a good stay, and I'd recommend the place without hesitation. Our suite was fresh, very clean, and in excellent shape, with a fully equipped kitchen. It also had air conditioning and quiet, constant bathroom ventilation. Having a washing machine available to guests was useful. The tasteful villa has modern, refurbished suites, and a garden with lush plants, seating, and a table for meals or relaxing. There's a tram stop nearby, about five minutes to the historic center and promenade. A good bakery and a market selling fresh produce and fish six days a week are in the same area, with larger grocery stores a short walk away.

The villa had everything I needed for my week and a half, including a fridge and stove that let me enjoy fresh fruit and vegetables from the local markets. As a solo traveler, I felt completely safe there and in the surrounding area. Jean-Luc even took time to introduce me to other guests. Getting around Nice and visiting the beautiful nearby towns was easy from this location. Jean-Luc and Blandine were so warm and kind, and helpful and thorough from our first exchange. They made my first trip to France unforgettable. I've had lovely hosts on my travels, but these two are truly exceptional. I can't imagine staying elsewhere and will always return to Villa le Nid when I'm in Nice.
