West End Nice Hotel

The sea view was spectacular, and the room was beautiful and spacious. I found the bed comfortable, the shower pressure strong and steady, and the water hot. There was plenty of room to move around, and it was very clean. The location is right on the promenade, a short walk from old town and the main landmarks, and it's easy to get to and from the airport. Breakfast was delicious, served at convenient hours from 7am to 11am. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. I had an amazing stay and would happily come back.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the location is right across from the sea, close to shops and restaurants. But our stay at Hotel West End in Nice was far below what we expected from a four-star hotel. The room looked tidy without feeling clean, with extremely worn carpets, chipped and marked furniture, and a mattress that sagged so badly we couldn't get a good night's sleep. The tiny bathroom was very dated, and the room felt unhygienic overall. The walls were paper-thin, so we could clearly hear our neighbors through the night, including sounds from their very personal, intimate activities. It was uncomfortable and embarrassing. With the bed and cleanliness problems too, we checked out a day early. Breakfast was included with our direct booking. It was okay, but the choices were limited. Sadly, the hotel feels like a faded remnant of its former glory. We won't be back.

We especially enjoyed the varied French-style breakfast that came with our stay. The hotel itself is peaceful and quiet, and the staff are exceptionally kind and welcoming. It's right by the sea, above the promenade and cycling path that run along Nice's coastline. Nice is well connected to the rest of the French Riviera, so we got to explore a lot and really enjoyed our trip!

The view from the room was amazing, and the hotel was easy to reach and close to the airport. Breakfast croissants were delicious, too. There was a Japanese female staff member who was very helpful.
