From an American perspective, the room, bed, and shower were a bit small, but the service made that easy to overlook. Our train arrived late and we were starving. Klaus at the front desk went so far out of his way to help that the trip became a delight. A member of the wait staff also sorted out food and drinks for the evening. Anything we needed over the weekend was taken care of without fuss. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

We were taken here by my husband’s grandparents, who live locally and highly recommend it. They were right: the restaurant is lovely, with traditional food, kind staff, generous portions, and a genuinely family and kid-friendly feel. We can’t wait to go back.

My husband stayed there and had to take a cold shower because the hot water had run out. He told reception, but they still charged him for everything without making even a small gesture.

The rooms have a nice, modern feel. There’s a spa to enjoy if you have time. The heater is extremely powerful, so you might need to turn the radiator down.

A great stay, with nice rooms and good food. The young waiter, including when serving cheese, really knows his trade and his produce. Well done.
