Michael knew the area inside out, from restaurants and local produce to its history. He also booked restaurants for both evenings, and we probably wouldn't have found either one ourselves. Both were excellent. Breakfast used local ingredients and was tailored to what we liked, and the massage was a lovely way to unwind after long days walking and cycling. We had a great short stay at Cottage 1956. Michael was a fantastic host who knew the hospitality business and did everything he could to make our visit enjoyable. Thanks, Michael. We’re looking forward to the opening of your neighboring property.

Michel was so kind and welcoming. Each morning he brought breakfast to our room, and the local ingredients were delicious and such good quality. Waking up to that felt like being spoiled. Highly recommend.

The late arrival could have been tricky since we hadn't eaten, but Michel and his wife welcomed us warmly and made us dinner at 11 pm. It was a wonderful meal and such a thoughtful welcome, easily a ten out of ten. The Cottage has a lovely mix of rustic character and modern comfort, with a cozy feel that made it easy to relax and switch off. Its idyllic setting is beautiful, too, and the food throughout our stay was exquisite, prepared with real care and skill. The dishes brought together local and international flavors. Michel and his wife made a deep impression on us. They were warm, kind, and truly attentive, and their hospitality made the visit feel special. Thank you to Michel and family for a stay full of moments we'll remember. We hope to come back soon. Cottage 1956 felt like a little retreat where natural beauty and comfort came together. We wholeheartedly recommend it and both hosts. Rating: 10/10.
