We stayed one night to get a better rest than we would in the car, and it met our expectations. We had one room with a private bathroom and another with a shared one. I’m not sure which arrangement was worse, but the WC was clean and the floor had new lino. Check-in went fine even late in the evening, which is why F1 works well without requiring you to arrive by a certain time. The beds were better than we expected. The only downside was mold between the shower and basin.

The noise from inconsiderate guests throughout the hotel was unbelievable. They didn’t care what time it was or whether people were sleeping. It seems to happen because people go to the toilet at night.

I was warmly welcomed when I arrived. The room was clean and quiet, and the location was very convenient for a stop on a road trip.

It’s affordable, with average room quality and service. My room had air-conditioning, heating, a washbasin, and a TV, but no kettle. The toilet and bathroom were outside the room, though very close by. Sound insulation wasn’t good.

We’d hoped to stay at the Ibis in the same area, but it was full. The F1 room felt like a prison cell, and loud ventilation noise went on all night in room 240, making sleep impossible. Other guests started slamming doors at 04.00. Breakfast was very basic, just coffee and baguette. I have no complaints about the staff. It may be cheap, but I’d never stay again.
