Parking was the main hassle. Some guests had taken up two spaces by parking badly, leaving too little room for us to get into a spot. The rooms are small, but that didn’t bother us for a one-night stop. The shower was tiny, though the water was hot and had good pressure. We could have used another pillow.

The staff were fine, and Olivier, the manager, said he’d only been there for four days. But the hotel is poorly maintained: our double bed sagged in the middle, the rooms are small, there’s no lift, the clothes hooks were loose and coming off the wall, and the tiny bathroom had no sink plug. The towels were worn out. Try another hotel.

The location was very good, with restaurants nearby, including Asian WOK Buffet. The staff were extremely helpful and willing to do whatever was needed. The premises were being updated during our stay, though, so our room was smaller and some fixtures and fittings hadn’t been finished.

For an overnight stop with our dog, this was very reasonable. The staff were lovely and it was very clean. The only drawback was other guests smoking in their rooms, which made the place stink.

The advertised free Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room. I told reception; they checked and confirmed there was no coverage. They gave no explanation or apology, just nothing.
