Le Cosy Riva Bella

We were right among the shops and restaurants, and just a couple of minutes from the beach, where there’s a playground and other games for children. The ferry terminal and the bus from Caen were about an eight-minute walk away. Our room was small, as expected, but modern, very clean and comfortable. It’s a friendly, family-run hotel. Just note there’s no lift.

We’d worried that staying right in the center might mean a noisy room, but it was fine. The owner was incredibly helpful when we arrived, and we liked seeing the black-and-white photos of the place during the war. Our room was a good size, and so was the bathroom. A great place to stay.

The hotel is right among the shops and restaurants, with the beach and esplanade only a two-minute walk away. We had a clean room, comfortable beds and a lovely little veranda where you could catch a sea view if you stood on it. They were very accommodating when I had to change the booking a couple of times. I’d definitely stay here again.

Julien and the staff were friendly and helpful, and very flexible about my checkout situation. The French breakfast was fabulous, definitely worth having. I slept well in my balcony room, with a cool breeze coming in through the open balcony doors and window. There was some noise outside now and then, but it was quiet from 11 PM to 8 AM. The room WiFi was often weak and unstable during the day, though it worked quite well at night. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and it’s a very nice place to stay in the center of Ouistreham. Highly recommend it.
