Breakfast was hearty and delicious, with a different homemade jam each day and homemade cake too. Our host also shared great suggestions for places to eat and visit. We had a very pleasant weekend at the Manoir de Sanilhac. He welcomed us warmly, with Vahiné and Valkyrie there too ☺️, and it was lovely to hear him talk so passionately about the convent’s history over breakfast. I highly recommend it ☺️

Peaceful surroundings and plenty of amenities nearby, with Périgueux less than a 15-minute drive away. Our stay at this manor was wonderful. Jean-François was friendly and attentive, and in conversation he shared moving pieces of the place’s history that really brought it to life. I highly recommend it.

The homemade jams and cakes were absolutely delicious, made by our host with local products. We also loved hearing all about the history of the place from someone genuinely passionate about sharing it. It made breakfast a particularly pleasant and enriching part of our stay. The Manoir de Sanilhac is magnificent, charming and peaceful, with comfortable rooms, relaxing surroundings and a very warm welcome. The two dogs are so endearing and add to the house’s charm. It was a perfect weekend to unwind and reconnect. We’re leaving with lovely memories, and would gladly return. We highly recommend it!

The owner gave us a very warm welcome, with his beautiful, adorable dogs around him. The house was comfortable and quiet, and we could explore this wonderful place at our own pace from the moment we woke up. Breakfast was delicious, with homemade pastries and good coffee. Our host also told us the history of the place and shared some lovely memories of the house.

We loved getting to know Jean-François’s two dogs, Vahiné and Valkyrie. They’re adorable, calm and so lovely to be around. Sharing breakfast with Jean François was a real pleasure too, especially the delicious homemade cakes. It’s a charming place with a lot of history, and we felt at ease straight away. Jean-François is a wonderful host, passionate about his convent and always generous about sharing stories and what he knows. Such a warm, authentic and restorative stay. We highly recommend it!
