Le Montmartre Saint Pierre Hotel

The room itself was fine, and the location was great, though the price felt high for the quality. What made the stay a bad experience was arriving at 10pm and being handed a key to a room that already had someone in it. The hotel was full, and it seemed they had given away our room. I was told we might have to find somewhere else, and the only help offered was calling other hotels, where we learned we’d have to pay €200. The desk clerk couldn’t reach his manager and was left stranded. After I complained, he found another room that a guest hadn’t checked into yet. I don’t know what happened to that guest. Assigning rooms is a basic hotel job, and they got it badly wrong.

The people at the hotel were lovely and welcoming, and they helped with everything. Reception is open 24 hours, the place was super clean, and we didn’t have a single problem. The room was a little small, but cozy. It’s a beautiful place and we were very happy with our stay. The location is good, though major landmarks are a long walk, so you’ll need Ubers to get to them.

The staff were friendly and the location was excellent. Our twin rooms were clean and tidy, but a bit tiny. Sharing one is fine if you’re on good terms with your roommate. If you aren’t good friends, the lack of privacy could be a problem.

They offered us breakfast, but the stay was still quite unpleasant. Someone had smoked in our room, and it smelled bad. The hotel was full, so we had to sleep with that smell.
