I'd accidentally booked this thinking it was in Calais. I searched a hotel comparison site, misread the map scale, and only discovered the mistake when we arrived. It turned out to be a happy accident. The price was a real bargain, parking was easy with generously sized spaces, and our ground-floor room was quiet. The staff were fantastic and spoke great English. They recommended a local restaurant when we asked for directions, and it was excellent. They even gave us a complimentary coffee. Thoroughly recommend.

What a dump. The rooms were dirty, smelly, poorly equipped and in bad shape, and the towels were so thin and worn they need throwing out. The room price felt like a complete rip-off. The hotel is behind a supermarket and a couple of other shops, all surrounded by rubbish and overrun with rats. The Google pictures don't look anything like the hotel. Avoid it.

The website photos didn't show the actual hotel or rooms. Everything was filthy and disgusting, the walls and beds were stained, and the rooms reeked of smoke. We'd booked two rooms but couldn't stay. We had to find another local hotel for my wife and two children, so paid twice for one night. A horrible start to our family holiday.

The bathrooms are older than I'd prefer, but I keep coming back when I'm working in the area. It's clean for the price, breakfast is good, the people are friendly and there's parking. It's become my usual place to stay here.

The bed was very comfortable, but the place felt worn and shabby and wasn't very clean. The meal was just okay. There wasn't any soap in the bathroom, so I had to ask for some. There was a kettle in the room but no tea, coffee or cups.
