Relais Touraine Sologne

Our replacement room was at another hotel, and it was fine, but quite small. It had a fan instead of air conditioning. When we arrived, a small sign said the hotel was being renovated to join the Beauval Zoo hotel group and that we had been moved to an upgraded room elsewhere. It told us to call the phone number shown.

The manager, who was there only in the morning, was friendly and professional. The room we booked was clean, but its lino, shower curtain, and very noisy air conditioning felt dated. Breakfast was basic too, with little choice and rather small portions. It's a simple, basic hotel with no physical reception, and access to the room is handled entirely through a system. It may do for one night if you're not too demanding.

The bedding was comfortable, the hotel was perfectly clean, and breakfast was generous. For the price, it offers an excellent balance of quality and cost. The evening arrival felt impersonal because it was handled by a key box, but the kindness of the morning staff made up for that.

Checking in with the card system was very convenient. We were told by message the day before that there was no air conditioning, and reminded again when we arrived, so there were no unpleasant surprises. The hotel is close to Beauval Zoo, and both the room and bathroom were clean and functional. The breakfast buffet was decent, and the staff were friendly, pleasant, and helpful. 😊
