There’s a magnificent view from the terrace, and a bakery just across the way, with two restaurants an easy walk away. Hiking routes begin in the village and lead through lovely countryside to castle ruins, while nearby towns and villages are easy to explore from here. The cottage itself is peaceful and warm, nicely decorated and well equipped.

The area around Oberbronn is lush and full of interesting places for walks, and the village’s traditional houses and gardens below the gîte are lovely. We also enjoyed a simple, delicious meal at the nearby Couvent restaurant. Inside Rêve d'Alsace, the careful renovation, parquet floors, woodwork and old doors give the house plenty of charm. The decor feels harmonious and welcoming, and every room was bright, pleasant and comfortable. It was spotless, and we felt at home. We enjoyed eating outside on the balcony and taking in the view. Thanks to Stéphane and Ophélie for making us feel so welcome and sharing tips for exploring the region. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful gîte, which really lives up to its name.

Everything about the stay makes us want to return to this lovely region. The hosts were so friendly, the location was excellent, and the view was beautiful. The renovation was done with care and great taste, and the accommodation was comfortable and very good value. Excellent service too. Well done, and thanks again! 👍

We were four adults over Pentecost weekend and all felt comfortable in this fantastic apartment. It’s stylish, modern and clean, with a great balcony view. The kitchen has plenty of equipment, and the sofa bed was surprisingly comfortable. The large bed was even better. Oberbronn is a small village of lovely half-timbered houses by the forest. You’ll need a car, since the supermarket and train station are farther away in the village. There’s parking right outside in the rather narrow driveway. The hosts were very friendly. Great for a few quiet days in the Northern Vosges Mountains, with Strasbourg also an option to visit.

The valley view is superb, and on the other side there’s what’s surely the best bakery in the area. Luckily, plenty of hiking nearby helps make up for the pastries! The place is in the heart of a typical Alsatian village, and the passionate owners have renovated it with real taste. We had a wonderful experience. Thanks, Ophélie and Stéphane, for being so kind and available.
