Le Cormier

Mike gave us a warm welcome, shared lots of useful information, and led us to a spotless grass pitch. We only had one night here on the way to Montignac, but what a find. The toilets and showers were the best we’ve come across so far, with a real home-from-home feel. We had a wonderfully restful afternoon and a quiet, peaceful night. We loved this site.

We were only here for a night, but Mike and Cath made it a fantastic stop. When I ran into trouble with our campervan, Mike was a star and helped me get it sorted. The facilities are super clean, and there’s a fenced dog area where your four-legged friend can have a run. Thanks so much for the help, the advice about our future plans, and for making room for us.

The small above-ground pool is a welcome treat on hot, sunny days, and the new toilet and shower block is excellent. It’s well laid out, always clean, has plenty of hot water, and non-slip tiles throughout. The generous pitches are level and well maintained. Cath and Mike are friendly and helpful, and their hard work shows in all the campers who come back. People arrive as visitors and leave as friends. We’ve had another relaxing stay at Le Cormier. If you’re after a peaceful caravan site, this is a great choice.

Mike and Cath couldn’t have been nicer. Like another reviewer said, you arrive as visitors and leave as friends. We found the campsite through an advert in the back of the caravan club magazine and stayed for a few days on our way to Spain. Farmers were causing havoc on the roads, so we just took it easy, went for some nice local walks, and drove to Loches for a wander. It’s a lovely town. Since we visited in Jan, many Chateaux were closed for winter, so we’d love to return another time and see more of what the area has to offer. It’s a great campsite, with lovely hosts and a very peaceful setting.
