Oliveraie d'Olmiccia

The mountain view was breathtaking, and we spent a very pleasant week in the clean, well-equipped, quiet, and welcoming chalet at Oliveraie d'Olmiccia. Sédric and Chrystelle were so friendly and hospitable, always helpful and attentive, and gave us excellent advice. We’ll definitely return! Elodie and Lucien

The attic apartment had a lot of charm, and Olmiccia is a good choice if you want peace and quiet. There are three apartments in the house, so the pool isn’t for exclusive use. We were comfortable during our stay, and the owner sent a fan through the person who looks after the apartments during a spell of very hot weather, which we appreciated. A breath of fresh air would be great, though. At the price of the apartment, I expected the cleaning to be up to standard, but it left a lot to be desired. At first glance things seemed clean, yet there were many details that hadn’t been attended to. The futon in the dining area was full of sand, and the sink, glass, bathtub, and faucet needed cleaning. The kitchen was dirtier: the pots and other utensils weren’t clean, the glass cabinet was dusty and covered in water marks, and the area under the cabinets needed another look. There were maintenance issues as well. The futon was torn, the chair cushions were very dirty and needed replacing, and there were no clothespins. A shelf in the bathroom cabinet was broken. The duvets in the bedroom cupboard were folded poorly and didn’t seem clean because of their smell. A tablecloth was also needed on the outdoor table. If they improved the cleaning and dealt with these things, the place could be great.

Sédric gave us a warm welcome and explained the activities available in the area. The apartment was clean and pleasant, with a lovely mountain view and a little fountain by the pool that made for a relaxing touch. Don’t miss it!

The setting was peaceful and pleasant, and we got good advice for motorcycle rides. The recommended restaurant was excellent too. Thanks for the very warm welcome!
