The host and staff were so friendly, and it’s an ideal base for visiting Corte. We had a lovely couple of days here, spending time by the river and enjoying the pool.

The location is pleasant, with the rooms arranged around the pool. Our room was clean, though cramped, which felt acceptable for the price. Breakfast was plentiful, with good continental options served beside the pool. The bed was a problem for me. It sagged in the middle and bounced, so I could feel my partner move, which I don’t usually experience. There was also an unpleasant damp laundry smell. The AC cleared it while on, but it returned after we’d been out for a couple of hours with it switched off. The €25 table d'hôte left me hungry. The tarte aux herbes had very little filling compared with another one I tried at a restaurant the next day, and the fiadone portion was tiny. The charcuterie and cheese were good, but I wouldn’t recommend the meal. I also noticed the owner’s passive aggressive replies to reviews they don’t like, including ones that are simply honest and not offensive. I’m curious what they’ll say about this one.

Cathy was a lovely host and worked around my vegetarian diet and terrible French, sorry! The room was clean and modern, and I found the hot tub/spa relaxing. The views were spectacular, too. Breakfast was delicious: croissant, baguette, yogurt, juice, and hot chocolate for me. The home cooked dinner was nice. It was expensive, but seemed fair as an occasional option, especially since I was the only person ordering dinner one night. There isn’t a restaurant or grocery store nearby, and it’s a perfect place to unwind and destress on vacation.

After two days of hiking, my boyfriend and I found this lovely little place with everything we needed. The river is beautiful and wonderfully refreshing. We enjoyed the good food and pool, and there’s pétanque to play, too. A great spot to relax and get into a mindful state. I’ll definitely recommend it!
