Club Med Opio en Provence

We spent a week here with the family in early September and had a great time. The kids absolutely loved the kids clubs. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food and activities, including tennis and golf, were great.

We checked out early because we were so disgusted and asked for a full refund. Not one person from management has contacted us or dealt with the mess we found. The bed cover had hair from previous guests, the plates were grimy and seemed to have been reused without proper washing, and the coffee mugs still had stains. It was totally unacceptable and unhygienic. I’ve stayed in many places around the world, but this “resort” was one of the dirtiest and worst managed I’ve seen. Cleanliness clearly wasn’t a priority from the moment we arrived. This feels like a health hazard, not a holiday destination. Stay far away.

My daughter had a summer job there, so I visited for the day. They welcomed us warmly, and we tried the fun little 9-hole golf course, an archery lesson, and a padel introduction. The food was great, and it was lovely to relax on the decking under a parasol.

The food was really good, and the Italian waiters were the only kind people we encountered. Otherwise, the way we were treated was unacceptable. It felt like a total scam, and I want my money back because this place wasn’t worth what we paid. The inexperienced young people managing it didn’t seem to care about guests, though they were quick to take payment without explaining anything.
