Hôtel D'Orsay

The staff were really friendly and helpful, and I slept well on the comfortable bed with good pillows. Le Guichet bus and train station is just a short walk away, while dinner in Orsay is about ten minutes on foot. Breakfast was simple but good.

There's a great pizzeria nearby. The place was pretty quiet when I visited, though breakfast wasn't available at that time of year and the local bakery was closed early in the morning.

The location works especially well if you're going to CEA Paris-Saclay. Breakfast was good, too.

I paid nearly 100 euros a night, and the condition of the room was really disappointing. I was told the hotel had been renovated, but apparently the fourth floor was missed. Lots of little things were broken: the bedside shelf, toilet paper holder, shower hose holder, towel holder and wall outlet. The toilet seat also came loose whenever I sat down. A towel had some suspicious brown residue on arrival; they replaced it, and the new one was fine. There were also questionable white marks on one of the red pillows. The bathroom was small, which I could accept, but rust had built up in every corner and around all the joints. I may have forgotten other problems. I also heard from colleagues in other rooms that they had the same conditions, so mine wasn't an isolated case. Rooms in that state should be closed and renovated. It's a real shame to charge people that much for this.
