O Cuend'u Lac

We've been to Condu du Lac several times since it reopened, and as locals, we've always left happy. The staff are consistently friendly and attentive, and we really appreciate the longer opening hours for Spanish customers. That's unusual in the French Cerdanya region. The restaurant has been fully renovated by Alexandre Cuenda. It's now a charming, welcoming space with tasty, well-prepared seasonal food in a traditional, family-style vein, and the prices are good. The hamburgers, winter dishes, a few plates with a Creole touch, and the hotel-style breakfasts are particular highlights. Breakfast is generous, with toast, croissants, and more. If I'm remembering right, it may be the only breakfast option in town after 7:30 a.m., which is why we went once. When the weather's good, the terrace is great for an aperitif. In winter, the fireplace makes the inside feel warm and inviting. A lovely lakeside spot with honest cooking and friendly service, well worth rediscovering.

We went for New Year's Day and found the place lovely, with a warm, almost family-gathering feel. Everyone shared drinks together, and we really enjoyed the meal, which was both refined and generous. The setting is beautiful, and the price seemed fair for the quality of the menu. We just hadn't expected it to be a set menu.

We came with a group of 80 motorcyclists, and the organization was superb. The service was quick, friendly, and really pleasant. It's a lovely little restaurant in an idyllic setting, with generous portions and good quality. Definitely consider it for outings with family or friends!
