I did find the first flight of stairs awkward, though the place itself is charming and welcoming. It’s a fully restored barn turned into accommodation, with a peaceful feel and a heated pool for days when you’d rather relax than explore the region. The bedrooms have air conditioning, and the living room is set up with a cozy sofa and a wood-burning stove for winter. The kitchen is small but works well, although I did wonder where the microwave was. The huge walk-in shower in the bathroom is a nice touch.

A public charging station is directly across the street, which was handy for charging our electric car. It's brand new and has a 22 kVA output. Strasbourg is close by, and there are lots of different restaurants in the area. We'll be back. We were delighted with this little gem. Our bedroom was in a wing of an Alsatian house that had been renovated with great taste and skill. It was beautiful and very well equipped, even including a sauna. The wing felt luxurious and incredibly peaceful, and our hosts were so friendly and attentive. Bravo!
