St Pasha

We stayed at beautiful La Pasha for three weeks, though it would suit a night just as well. Lorri and Simon were amazing hosts and looked after every need. The gîte was comfortable, with a luxurious bathroom and bedroom, a well-stocked kitchen and all the facilities for a longer stay. Its elegant, well-kept garden was lovely for our little dog, with secluded spots for sunbathing and relaxing, plus a BBQ. The area is so peaceful, and at night the stars shone across the sky. We felt very safe in the house and never locked the doors. The pretty village of Paille felt safe too, and its typical shop and bar/restaurant made us very welcome. A short drive gets you to Aulnay, with its historic church, architecture, lively town square, plenty of shops, bars and restaurants, and a tempting Sunday market. Saint-Jean-d'Angély is 15 minutes away, with supermarkets, museums, shops, history, bars, restaurants and a lovely lakeside garden. Don't miss market day. There was so much to see and do. Within an hour of St Pasha, we had plenty to choose from, including châteaux, wineries, beaches and quaint French villages that have stayed unspoiled for centuries. A really lovely place.

We loved everything about this little place run by Lori and Simon, from the location and room to the meal and breakfast. When we arrived, Carole, Lori's mother, welcomed us and showed us around. She was charming, attentive, spoke English, her native language, and made a delicious meal we thoroughly enjoyed. We especially enjoyed talking with Carole, then with Lori and Simon at breakfast. We highly recommend staying here, and we'll cherish the memory. Christine and Thierry
