The old house could use a makeover, but it still has plenty of charm and mystery. It’s warm, comfortable, and practical, and dogs are welcome. At breakfast, the host shares eclectic stories with guests. Away from Paimpont town centre, the valley views make it a lovely place to see the stars and experience the mysterious Broceliande forest. The house also has all sorts of history.

A very nice manor, with very nice rooms.

We had a really memorable stay. The evening talking with Grégoire and the other guests was lovely, and thank you to Grégoire for his warm welcome and passion for history. We chose the manor because of its history and connection to the paranormal. The feeling we had was very real, with an atmosphere tied to the past. Nothing negative, but certainly there. The kitchen is available for meals, and the room is basic but clean, with the bathroom nearby. A proper breakfast would have been nice.

The manor house is well located, about 5 minutes from Paimpont. The reception staff were adequate and flexible about check-in and check-out times, and kitchen access. They also accept dogs. At €97 for a room without breakfast, the value for money is completely unacceptable. I expected more comfort in the shared areas and more charm in the rooms, especially in a manor house. A little effort with the decor could make this place much more pleasant and bring back some of its charm.
