Campanile PRIME - Paris Pantin

There's a supermarket just behind the hotel, and the train station is very close, which was handy. Jeremy at reception greeted us warmly and check-in went smoothly. The room was good, though brighter lighting would have helped. Solo female travellers should stay alert in the evenings, since groups of men are often outside the nearby bars and restaurants.

The area felt rough and not family-friendly. I wouldn't advise staying here with young children. The rooms themselves were a good size, clean and comfortable, and having the Metro right next door was convenient. We arrived at 1:10 pm and were told our rooms weren't ready, so we came back at 2:30. One of the two rooms was still unavailable, half an hour after check-in time. When I asked when it would be ready, the receptionist didn't know and said housekeeping was under pressure. I asked how they'd let us know, and was told they had no way to do that because there was no phone in the room. So I had to keep coming to reception to check. I've never had this happen before. It was frustrating and disappointing, especially after paying nearly €700 for the rooms.

The room size was right, and the bathroom and shower area were spacious, which was great. It's good value. I noticed a microwave on the hotel's ground floor, though I didn't use it. The location is convenient, about 20 metres from the M5 metro and near a supermarket where you can get food.

Jean Paul made the stay for me. He spotted a booking discrepancy and sorted it out proactively, and his Paris tips were invaluable. The room matched the description on the website, and the hotel is just steps from the metro. For a three-star place at a fair price, this is the one. I loved my stay.
