ibis Paris Pantin Eglise

The staff were the highlight, friendly, professional, and always ready to help with questions or requests. The location was convenient too. There’s a metro station a short walk away, and the bus station is right behind Hotel Ibis Eglise Pantin, making it easy to get around Paris. I had a wonderful, comfortable stay and would recommend it to anyone looking for a welcoming place to stay.

The staff were wonderful and the location was great, but the hotel was very old and things in my room were falling apart. The toilet paper holder was hanging halfway off the wall by one screw, and one bedside lamp was broken and dangling. There was a strange smell I couldn’t get rid of. A machine of some kind outside the window made constant noise all night, and I couldn’t sleep for five days.

The bed, pillows, and linen were nice, and I had clean towels. That’s about all I can say in favor of the stay. The shower temperature kept shifting from hot to cold on its own, so I couldn’t shower properly. The couch was dirty and covered in cigarette burns, and I didn’t want to touch it. There was no kettle, glasses, or mini fridge. The rooms felt very old, with a hospital-like atmosphere, and I could hear everything happening next door. Breakfast cost 13€, but it was very poor, all cold, with no vegetables and almost nothing to choose from. At check-in they told me breakfast wasn’t included, even though I’d prepaid. Another staff member confirmed the next day that it was. For that price in the suburbs, I’d choose somewhere else.

It’s a cheap hotel, so keep your expectations in check. I was generally okay with it, and the location was good, close to the Metro. I was travelling to Strasbourg via gare del est, and getting to the train was very easy.
