Hotel Agil Orly

The room was spacious and quite nice, and the front desk staff were friendly. Breakfast was the weak point: limited choices, food often gone, very slow refills, and staff who seemed uninterested. The hotel is close to the tram, which helps, but it’s in the middle of nowhere. Fine if you need somewhere near the airport.

I slept better here than anywhere, in a comfortable room with friendly, attentive staff who made me feel like the guest came first. I’ll definitely be back on my next trip to Paris Orlly.

We ended up here after our flight was cancelled. The room was nice and the hotel staff were pleasant, but the breakfast left me uneasy. The bread on display was covered in green, white, and orange mold, very easy to see. When I told the service lady, she laughed awkwardly and took the plate away without apologizing. After that, I wasn’t sure about the rest of the food either. Getting there was another hassle. Taxis from Orly usually won’t take you to this hotel, and I still don’t know why. There’s a free hotel shuttle, but finding its departure point at D1 isn’t easy, and it doesn’t run all the time. The train is an option, though the station is across from Terminal 1, about a 15-minute walk from there. Because of the mold at breakfast, I can’t give it more than two stars.

The staff were helpful, and the Carrefour department store opposite the hotel was useful for picking up anything we needed. Beyond that, the property was disappointing. The room was average and very small, with torn tapestry and stained seat cushions, and there was no view, just a busy road and a construction site. It’s near Orly but very far from central Paris, so it’s not a good choice if you want to enjoy the city. We were on a group tour and didn’t have much say in the hotel. On our own, we wouldn’t have chosen it. The infrastructure needs to match other four-star hotels before I’d feel comfortable recommending it to tourists.
