The grounds and pool are lovely, and there’s even a winery attached where you can try their wines. It’s a small hotel, with each room having its own character. Our hosts were very friendly, and the staff were attentive and helpful. A great place to spend a couple of nights and enjoy the surrounding area.

We stopped here while traveling along the Canal du Midi, and it was well worth the walk for a wine tasting. It’s a family-owned chateau that gives a good sense of the region. The staff were friendly, helpful, and knew their wines. We tried the core range for free, then bought a couple of bottles to take back to the boat. Really enjoyed the visit.

We were looking forward to a wine tasting and tried calling and emailing ahead to book, but got no reply either way. When we arrived at 1:15 pm, hoping for lunch or charcuterie with the tasting, every door was shut. A winemaker in a nearby shed told us tastings wouldn’t be available until 2 pm, even though the sign said open from 10 am to 6:30 pm. Please put lunchtime closure information on the website. We drove 45 minutes out of our way for nothing, which was very disappointing.

We dropped in without booking and with hardly any French, but they treated us so well. The tastings were incredibly generous. We’d taken a detour from our e-bike ride along the canal to visit, and it turned out to be a spectacular stop.
