The room looked clean at first, but it was extremely hot and had no ventilation. The toilets and showers are outside the room, and I could have put up with that if I knew how clean they’d be when I went in. The vending machine by reception didn’t work, either. We were taken to the wrong room and given a code that didn’t work. Because my French is poor, I couldn’t easily ask for the right code. The only thing in this “Hotel’s” favor is that it’s better than sleeping on the street.

The bed was OK, and the reception staff were really nice and helpful. The room was more like a hostel, with separate bathrooms and showers. The whole place smelled of cigarette smoke, like a squat. You get what you pay for, but the Ibis Budget around the corner is worth the extra €15.

The receptionist was helpful and friendly, but that was it. It was cold, with no heating, and the rooms don’t have ensuite bathrooms. The best thing about the hotel was the road away from it.

The rooms are good, and you can wash your hands in there, but the bathrooms are outside the rooms, which is inconvenient. You get what you pay for. The staff are friendly. The girl at reception didn’t speak English, but she tried to explain things to us.

This is a very basic, working man’s B&B, with just a bed and sink in the room and no bathroom, shower, or toilet. If you want a nice room and a soak in a bath while travelling, this isn’t the place for you. It’s not recommended if you’re after a bit of luxury. Pay a bit more and enjoy your stay.
