The hosts, Lionel and Liliane, were so friendly and accommodating, and that’s a big reason we’d happily return. This was our second stay at Gite Clos du Pommier, a private place in lovely green surroundings with three bedrooms, room for six, a living and dining area, and a huge terrace with charcoal or gas BBQ. It’s well equipped too, with an oven, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, coffee maker, and the other essentials. There’s one toilet and a separate shower. The free WiFi worked fine, though it wasn’t especially fast. It’s also a great base for exploring the Champagne region, with excellent vignerons close by, including Lebeau-Batiste within ‘crawling’ distance. We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to Champagne.

We loved sitting outside on the terrace and looking up at the stars. Living in a city, we don’t often get a night sky like that. The gîte is surrounded by vineyards, with lovely views, and is a great place to stay near Epernay. Everything was clean, well appointed, and there were all the amenities we needed. The host was relaxed and very friendly, always smiling, and check-in and check-out went smoothly. Highly recommend!

I was in the middle of a really intense period of work, and this peaceful stay was a lovely change of scenery from my Charente-Maritime. The gîte is comfortable, welcoming, and has a magnificent view. The owner was lovely too. Thank you again, Stéphane.

We were greeted warmly by the owners and their dog, and the owner even gave us fresh eggs. The gite is right among the Champagne vineyards, a lovely spot for walks and close to Epernay. There’s champagne from the owners available to drink for a fee, along with rosé and other wines. It has everything you need for a relaxing stay. A great place to discover Champagne, highly recommended!

The three double bedrooms make this a handy choice for a Champagne weekend with several couples. It’s a great base, though there are a couple of minor drawbacks: just one toilet, which may not have a sink, and one bathroom.
