A family member accidentally left an important bag behind at checkout, and the staff secured it right away. Once we showed proper identification, they returned it with everything still inside. That honesty and care really stood out. We stayed at Citadines Saint-Germain-des-Prés Paris in early January 2026. The front desk handled a booking complication kindly, efficiently, and professionally, and made sure we could stay comfortably in one room throughout the visit. Thoughtful amenities, a prime location, and a genuinely dedicated team. Highly recommended.
The view from our bedroom was a highlight. We watched the sun come up over Paris each morning, with Notre Dame, Saint Chappelle, and so much of the city in sight. The location worked perfectly for what we had planned, and the staff were warm and helpful. Having espresso and fresh water in the lobby at any hour was great for getting through jet lag and making it to dinner. It's a charming, quirky aparthotel. Our room loses a point because the toilet was downstairs while the rest of the bathroom was upstairs. You have to get creative with these old buildings en Paris, though, and I can see how it's part of the charm. We'd happily come back, and hope to soon. Merci, Citadines, à la prochaine!
The room was almost unbearable for three days because the air conditioning didn't work, with temperatures outside around 32°C. Sleeping was especially difficult. We also had intermittent power outages throughout the stay, and the elevator was out of order, which made things inconvenient with luggage and for anyone with mobility issues. The vending machine was broken too, so we couldn't buy water. Toward the end of the stay, there was a fire hazard situation. That was the most alarming part and raised serious questions about the hotel's safety standards. This was both uncomfortable and unsafe. I wouldn't recommend the hotel to anyone, and management should address these serious issues immediately.
We found the apartment comfortable and practical for a few days, and it was quiet. Some parts could do with refreshing, and it's not luxurious, but it's very handy for Paris. The location is excellent, with most places within walking distance.
The location is excellent, but the room was unbearably hot in late April because the AC wasn't available until May 15th. We ended up sleeping with the windows open and putting up with a lot of outside noise. It's hard to understand why a four-star hotel wouldn't switch on the air conditioning when the sun heats the rooms so much, especially as most get direct sun through the day.
