That mattress was unbelievably comfortable, firm and high, and I slept really well without waking up sore. The room was spacious for Paris and reasonably priced, with loads of cafes, restaurants, and shops nearby. I also loved the heated towel rack in the bathroom. There were some real problems, though. The room was dusty, with a few cobwebs, and there was mold by the bathtub. The kettle came without tea, coffee, or sugar, and the towels were pretty worn out. Our ground-floor room was right beside the lift, so it was noisy and could use better soundproofing. The door wouldn't lock properly, and eventually we gave up trying to get it to work. At first the heater didn't work either. When I told the receptionist, he said he felt warm and that it was fine, but the room was clearly cold. I kept pushing, and they fixed it, so we were warm afterward. The other issue was getting in during the afternoon. Nobody was at reception from 1 to 3 pm, and although their email said we could leave our luggage there for free, we couldn't even enter at 1 because the main door was locked and needed a passcode. We only stayed one night.

There are plenty of good restaurants nearby, and the metro makes it easy to get around the city. The staff were kind, though some didn't speak English. For a two-star hotel, the place is nice and well located. The rooms could use better sound insulation. Morning noise was uncomfortable.

The room was clean, the staff were nice, and metro stations are just a few minutes away. I was really happy with my stay at Amhotel Italie. There's even a kitchenette in the rooms.

It's pretty basic, nowhere near luxurious, but comfortable enough. The staff were organised and communicated well. You're close to a couple of metro stations, in the heart of a far east area, which is great if you like that food.
