Hotel Ascot Opera

The room was a little small, but that’s expected. I loved the ARR I was staying in, and there were lots of food options nearby with the city’s main attractions a short walk away. The hotel staff were warm and helpful, gave good advice, and made me feel welcome as a first-time visitor to Paris. A lovely stay.

Choosing this hotel felt like the right decision. The woman and man at reception always greeted me with a smile, which was reassuring. My room was compact but clean, and the bathroom was well maintained, so I was very satisfied. The location is excellent for sightseeing, with several supermarkets nearby and nothing I needed to worry about.

The hotel’s location is great, close to the Louvre and with lots of Asian eateries nearby. The staff were nice and very helpful, and having access to the parking garage was really handy. There was also a charger beside the hotel, but be warned: without a Belib subscription, it’s terribly expensive for a foreigner. After an hour, you pay €10 per hour just to stay plugged in, on top of the electricity. I first stayed here with my family two years ago and it was great, with a nice spacious room for four. This time I was alone in Paris for a few days and booked again. Naturally, I got a single room, but it was really small. The bathroom was so tight I could hardly dry myself. Still, you’re mostly in the room to sleep. It was noisy this time, but not enough to bother me. I’ll come back next time I’m in Paris.

The staff were very kind and friendly, and the room was quiet, quite small, and had almost everything I needed. A microwave would’ve been useful, but there was a minibar fridge and an electric kettle. It’s an affordable choice if you want a good Paris location without spending much.
