The biggest issue wasn’t even the room itself. It was how the front desk treated us. We found another hotel and left, choosing to pay again for a place we trusted even though this one was already paid for and we knew we wouldn’t get a refund. It was worth it. The staff were rude and dismissive, and I felt they lied to us. Some hostels have better rooms. Spend your money somewhere else. The bed was rock hard with a huge hump in the middle, which was shameful for the listed price of 300€. The shower also wouldn’t drain, so I had to turn it off every couple of minutes to stop the bathroom flooding. I did that three times, and my partner had to stop twice during his shower. We planned to ask about changing rooms the next day. We had timed tickets for Versailles, so there wasn’t time in the morning and we left early. When we returned that afternoon, we told the man at reception about the bed and shower and asked to move. He snapped, “Why didn’t you tell me this morning?! I can’t help you now, I have no rooms.” I said Expedia showed rooms available, but he denied it and wouldn’t check. Instead, he called someone to inspect the shower. When I asked his name, he ignored me completely. They should have noticed the drain problem while cleaning, since the water wasn’t draining at all, which made me question how clean the room was. Someone went upstairs, poured some drain cleaner down the drain, and said it was fine. My partner asked again to change rooms because the bed was still bad and I didn’t believe the shower was suddenly fixed. The receptionist said there was no room because no cleaning staff were available. When I pointed out again that Expedia showed availability, he brushed me off with “no more rooms.” After more back and forth, he suddenly came up with another room upstairs. By then, it was too late. I didn’t trust the place or want to stay. As we were leaving, he kept asking why we hadn’t told him that morning, saying he could have dealt with it then. We explained again that we had to leave early for our timed tickets. We asked what if we’d only showered after returning that afternoon and discovered the problem then. He said, “well I would have fixed it or gotten you a different room.” That was exactly what we’d asked for, but he still blamed us for the poor room. There was no apology or acknowledgment that the hotel had a problem. From the minute we arrived, I felt we’d made a mistake, but we didn’t have another option at first, so we tried to give it a chance. I can’t express how much I regret booking here. The hotel should have been the one to make things right.

It’s a lovely, very French hotel, and I’m so glad I found it on Priceline. The location is safe and ideal for walking, just steps from Saint Sulpice and close to the 4 metro. My room had a bathtub, big windows over a courtyard, an armoire, TV, desk, and small fridge. The room was tiny, but adorable, with a comfortable bed and nice sheets and bedding. The concierge was always polite and helpful. It helps to know some French. The elevator only fits one person, but that’s fine. I thought the place was perfect and would absolutely stay again.

The hotel is in a lovely area, with handy metro and bus stops and lots of good bars and restaurants close by. It’s clean and convenient, and they collect and take out the trash from your room each day. If you’re on the sixth floor in a room with a balcony, you can enjoy a glass of wine at night while listening to the fountain in the little square nearby.

The staff were really kind and helpful. I asked for hot water and the woman brought us a kettle. We were there during a heat wave, so the A/C was a lifesaver. The location was the best part, close to everything. The elevator is ridiculously tiny, like squeezing into a matchbox, LOL. The room could use a proper deep clean and a fresh coat of paint.

I liked the hotel's design and vintage furniture, which added to the Paris feel. It was also easy to reach many attractions from this location. Breakfast was a French breakfast for €13 per person, with no buffet option. Our room was cleaned daily and the towels were changed. It came with a hairdryer, shower gel and shampoo, soap, plus some other nice amenities. The thick curtains were useful, but it can get noisy outside at night if you sleep with the windows open, as you’d expect in a big city. The sink drained slowly, though it wasn’t a major issue. I had an excellent stay and would have liked a buffet breakfast option too.
