The location is very well connected, and it’s one of the cheapest places in Paris. Having a private room and bathroom helped explain why I gave it two stars, despite a pretty rough stay. The room and bathroom were both small. There was no bathroom ventilation, and in my room the shower wasn’t separated from the rest of the bathroom, so everything got wet and felt unsanitary. The damp door wouldn’t even close. It also wasn’t like the photos on Booking. The blankets were thin and small, and a couple of days later I had a cold, which I think was because of the damp and the bedding. They didn’t replace towels daily, or even after two days, and the room garbage wasn’t changed either. There was a construction site next door, people making lots of noise in the hallway, and staff didn’t do anything about it. The fire alarm went off twice one afternoon, then again at 2:30 at night, so I couldn’t nap or sleep properly. The workers were nice, but spoke only French, which made things harder. I basically didn’t get a good rest and ended up with a cold.

The hotel was just as advertised, nothing fancy but perfectly adequate, and the location was great. The bathrooms were a bit weird, though hahaha. Yusef at reception was the best. He gave us really helpful advice about where to spend New Year’s and how to avoid getting robbed. When we checked out, he even offered to pay for my Uber, but I wouldn’t let him, haha. Yusef, brother, if you see this, follow me on Instagram @kobathewallflower, let’s keep in touch!

A total scam. We booked two single rooms, but reception gave us one double room with a double bed. Not ideal for two colleagues on a business trip. Paris was packed, and it was our only available option. The alternative was to go somewhere else and pay an incredibly high price.

Great location, but keep your expectations low. The room and staff were average, as were security and safety. Cleanliness and health were below average. Also, they ask for an extra 1 euro per night for VAT or tax, and I really don’t understand that part.

The attendants were really kind. Still, the hotel wasn’t clean, and the bathroom smelled when we arrived and continued to smell. Insects were coming up through the drain.
