Avalon Hotel Paris Gare du Nord

There are halal food options all around, and supermarkets, pharmacies and currency exchange are only a 2-3 minute walk away. Montmartre and Sacre Basilica are about 20 minutes on foot, or an easy bus ride, and the area has lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Getting around is easy: Gare du Nord metro station is a 6-minute walk, there are several bus stops nearby, and another metro station is about 6 minutes away. The room was a little small, but clean and had the basic amenities. You can upgrade to a Deluxe room for more space. The staff, especially Jorai, Dounia & Ashley, were accommodating, responsive, professional and friendly. If you check in with them, you’re in great hands. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Rooms are small, as you’d expect, but clean, comfortable and well equipped. The bathroom fittings are good quality, and although the hotel is on the street, the soundproofing is pretty good. I hate noise, so I was pleased with that. The staff are lovely. It’s a good hotel for an overnight stay near Gare du Nord, and I’d stay again when using the station.

We only stayed two nights, but slept really well in the comfortable beds and room. Breakfast was good, and the service hours were even better. Ms Axelle was kind, helpful and always had a big smile. Thank you, Ms Axelle, you made a difference. Two thumbs up.

The name Avalon Cosy fits: the rooms are small and quaint, but they were enough for my last night in Paris. The bed was very comfortable, the room was clean, and the staff were excellent. There’s free coffee in the lobby, and Gare du Nord is close by for an easy train ride to the airport. I stayed one night.
