Breakfast was superb, and Kevin deserves a special mention for always keeping us comfortable and making us smile. You're an asset to the hotel, Kevin. Keep up the great work! This is a stunning boutique hotel right in the heart of Le Marais, with spacious, clean, well-appointed rooms.

I was happy with the comfortable bed, good shower, friendly staff, and quick check-in and checkout. The rooms are quite small, but that was fine for me. Mine was on the top floor, overlooking the internal courtyard, so I could leave the windows wide open without noise. The street was very quiet too, so I suspect all the rooms are quiet. There's a small lift, though I actually enjoyed taking the stairs. I paid EU130 per night for a three-night stay, which was good value. They charged the first night's stay three days before arrival, with the balance due at checkout. The hotel is next to Pompidou Centre, with a metro station just a few yards away. Chatalet station is a five-minute walk and has the RER B line to both the airport and Eurostar. Breakfast is available in the basement for about 10 euros. I found a pavement cafe called la fronde at the end of the street with a similarly priced, excellent breakfast, and chose that since I like eating outside in August.

We slept comfortably, the internet was fast and reliable, breakfast was plentiful and a typical Parisian spread, and the desk staff were always friendly and ready to help. The room was absolutely tiny for two people. We could hardly move around with our suitcases, so we had to take turns unpacking and sitting on the bed. Having a desk was useful, but the little fridge underneath meant the seat couldn't fit there. The hotel's location was amazing, with almost everything walkable and the Marais area constantly inspiring.

It's a small hotel in a wonderful location, and the staff were pleasant. The bathroom may be an issue in our room for anyone over 178cm (5'10) or with limited mobility, because the tub shower has a low ceiling.
