Beautiful Apartment- 3br/10p - Montparnasse

Checkmyguest gave us the most horrifying accommodation experience we've ever had. We rented this apartment at 47 Rue de la Gaité, Paris, in December 2024. The location was awful, with junkies and clochards around, feces and piss everywhere, including in the parking hallways. The apartment was behind and above a hamburger restaurant. From early morning until late at night, a machine rattled and shook. It felt like a tractor was running continuously inside the apartment. Mice were running around, and dead mice were lying on the carpet. One bathroom was broken. One bedroom couldn't be used because it had no ventilation and broken lamps. There was mold everywhere, long black hairs stuck to the bathroom walls, and maggots on the bathroom floor. Disgusting, horrifying, unhygienic and very dangerous. As soon as we arrived, we contacted the host. We begged them to help us because we were there with our two children, but they refused and did nothing. Nine months later, Checkmyguest wants to bribe us with 150 euro to delete our very bad review from Airbnb. Airbnb isn't acting on this because Checkmyguest contacted us by WhatsApp rather than by Airbnb chat. We'd left this horror story behind, but now we've been reminded of it all and are reliving the filth and the scam. Please be warned, don't do anything with these scammers from Checkmyguest. They're the worst ever!
