Hotel Bel Oranger Paris

The staff were very helpful, and I liked the continental breakfast. Tea, coffee, and water were available at reception around the clock. It’s handy for Gard Du Lyon, though outside the city center. My ground-floor room was comfortable, but its window opened onto the street.

The location is good, but it can get quite noisy, even early in the morning. Our room was very small, so I’d choose this place only for a short stay.

This is a traditional little Paris hotel on a nice, quiet street, and it has air conditioning. The room and en suite bathroom were very clean. Breakfast was a perfectly acceptable continental spread, with fresh fruit salad and some extras. It’s very convenient for Gare de Lyon, and I’ll stay here again next time I leave from the station.

We’ve stayed here several times and have always had a pleasant experience, even though it’s usually just one night before catching an early train from Gare de Lyon to Milan. The station is only a two-minute walk away. We usually book the lovely, spacious family room on the top floor. The lift is tiny, so if small spaces make you nervous, ask for a ground-floor or first-floor room and take the stairs.
