Bloom House Hotel & SPA

The hotel itself had a lovely atmosphere, smelled nice, and was very clean. The heated pool and decor were great, and the staff were attentive and helpful. My first night was comfortable. On the second night I was away because of my travel plans, staying one night at the Disneyland Hotel. I left some belongings and a suitcase in my room so I wouldn't have to carry everything around. When I came back on the third night, the room had been cleaned, but a suitcase was missing. My key card, which I'd left in the ignition, was gone too. Reception said they hadn't seen my things and thought I'd taken the suitcase with me. 😏 Why would I take everything when I'd booked the room to store some luggage? Luckily, a large suitcase was still there, so not everything had been stolen. 😑 Still, this shouldn't happen. I chose a hotel I thought was safe and was careful while traveling, and I don't understand how the suitcase disappeared. I hope the hotel investigates and adds better anti-theft measures. This time it was something inexpensive, but if something valuable went missing next time, it could seriously affect my confidence in staying here again. I regret losing the cozy feeling I had about the hotel. If a hotel item went missing from my room, I imagine I could be fined several euros whether it was valuable or not. The atmosphere and service impressed me, but guests may need to be careful with their belongings.

The rooms were very small, with poor pillows, tiny towels, and heating that kept changing. Breakfast was extremely poor, almost nonexistent. Worse, during our 5-night stay, six days in total, the bed sheets were never changed. Our children got food on them, and the stain stayed there the whole time. How can sheets not be changed even once, by at least the third or fourth day? Unacceptable. The hotel is beautiful, tastefully decorated, and has a lovely scent throughout. The shower gel and shampoo were fantastic. The heated pool and surrounding area are unique and really add value, and the water was just right for us and our young children. It closes at 10pm. Paris is completely child-unfriendly, and there aren't child-friendly options or kids' menus in any restaurant, including the hotel's Garden restaurant.

We had a quiet stay, helped by the heavy curtains, and the firm mattress was very comfortable. The staff were friendly and made a mean cocktail at the bar. We booked a superior room with a balcony in a clean, safe-feeling neighborhood, within walking distance of the station and easy to find. The hotel is gorgeous. We didn't use the spa, but the room was wonderful, with a big bed, rain and regular shower options, a separate toilet, and a small balcony for fresh air. There was an espresso machine, a kettle for tea, and a water refill point near the elevator. 10/10, we'd visit again.

The spa was a relaxing treat after a day sightseeing, until someone arrived with loud children and ruined the quiet. A quiet zone policy or adults-only access would help people switch off. The hotel was lovely and clean, the beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The location beside the main station made it easy to take the metro around the city. There was noisy construction outside, but obviously that wasn't the hotel's fault. We had a good stay and I'd recommend it.
