Breakfast was excellent, with a nice selection and friendly, efficient staff. The location made it easy to get around, with amenities close by. Mark was at the heart of what made the place feel so welcoming, homely, and warm. He was professional and genuinely hospitable, and couldn’t do enough for me. His attention to detail made a real difference. This is genuinely one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at in Paris, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone looking for comfort, warmth, and great service. You won’t be disappointed.

The neighborhood around the hotel in Le Marais was incredibly charming, and the location was hard to beat. The staff went out of their way throughout our visit to make us comfortable, including letting us check in hours early. I’d recommend this place to anyone visiting Paris.

We could walk to so many places, and there were wonderful restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and lovely, and the staff were friendly.

Small, elegant, and quaint, Charles V has friendly staff and feels like a solid four-star boutique hotel in Marais. We stayed in early 2025 and came back in 2026. It’s our new go-to in Paris.

Pierre at reception was very kind and helped me a lot, and Murad was really nice and helpful too. I stayed at Hotel Charles V for two days in August. It’s a very nice hotel in an excellent location, and the breakfast was amazing. Thanks to the whole staff. I’ll be back.
