My place on Rue d'Aboukir was a good find for the price and location, and the host was accommodating. It was quiet inside since the building doesn't face the street. The bedding and cleanliness were perfectly adequate. There was a TV and Wi-Fi, plus a small bathroom with a toilet and a kitchenette with a fridge and washing machine. There are several aparthotels in the Sentier district.

We were pleased at first by the attractive, central location of the apartment we’d booked for Pentecost weekend. That lasted one night. I was left speechless by how disgusting the experience was: bedbugs the size of fingernails were in the bed and closet and crawling over the walls. We were bitten all over. More than a week later, we’re still dealing with an intensely itchy rash. Moving to other accommodation, seeing doctors, buying medication, and cleaning our clothes have all added considerable costs. We also learned the landlord already knew about the infestation. I’ll never stay there again, or anywhere in the entire city. I’m sorry I even gave it one star.

The location is great, but the studio’s condition was very poor. Its only ventilation was a small patio, and the door to it was sealed shut, so there was no airflow at all.
