Cluny Square

We loved having a balcony, especially for watching people go by. We hadn't expected one when we booked, so it was a real bonus. The king bed was huge and comfy, the pillows were fluffy, and our towels were changed twice over three nights. Everyone on staff was welcoming and helpful. There's a little crepe stand around the back beside McDonalds that's worth trying. We'd happily return in summer. If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs. The walls are thin, and at night we could hear TVs, occasional conversations, and toilets flushing from neighboring rooms. It wasn't a big problem for us.

We got a balcony room at no extra cost, with a lovely view toward St Michelle and the upper part of the Eiffel Tower. The decor had a nice Paris feel, and the staff were friendly. One tip: book through the hotel's own site, not booking, if you want breakfast included in the price. The hotel is in apartment 5, a real central spot in Paris. It's a two-minute walk to Sein River and Notre Dame, and you can also walk to the Louvre, Pantheon, and Luxembourg Gardens. Quarte Latin has loads of restaurants and souvenir shops, and the metro stop right around the corner made our trip much easier. I highly recommend it.

A clean room, decent staff, and a perfect spot near Notre Dame, the Metro, and one of the hippest parts of Paris. If all you need is a bed, breakfast, and a great location for your money, this works well.

The VIP birthday surprise was wonderful: my husband had champagne, chocolates, and roses waiting in our room. It was our first time in France, and seeing them alongside that gorgeous wraparound balcony brought me to tears. We loved staying here. The staff were lovely, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The location was just right, too. One of the nicest hotels we've stayed in, and I can't recommend it enough.
