We walked to all the places we wanted to see, and there are great restaurants close by. Staff gave great service, and the bed and bathroom were nice. The old hotel has a quaint look, with a circular staircase and nice decor. The elevator is tiny and doesn't reach the top floor. It was relatively quiet, except for guests slamming doors after 10 p.m. and early in the morning, around 5 a.m., without much courtesy. Great location!

The breakfast was stale croissants. I saw staff put them in plastic bags and serve them again the next day, and nothing seemed fresh. We finally left a day early, but they wouldn't refund that night. We had booked a superior double for a week, but got two twin beds pushed together and an army cot in the corner as a supposed third bed. It sagged in the middle and nobody could sleep on it. The decor looked like it was from around 1990, and the rug was stained and dirty. On the third day our safe broke with all our travel documents inside. It took two days to open, and it was never fixed. This hotel disappointed us from start to finish. You can do much better.

Tristan and Mariam were wonderful, and an older gentleman on the night shift was friendly too. The service was great. On the other hand, a thin brown-haired man who worked nights was rude to me both times I saw him, for no reason. He probably shouldn't be dealing with the public. I stayed at Hotel Crystal on my first Paris trip, for my birthday. It's a cute little boutique hotel just behind the famous Cafe de Flore, and the location is great, only a short walk to the Seine. The room was clean and nice, with a comfortable bed, linens, and pillows. The tub was deep, and there was a blow dryer in the room.

I almost never post reviews, but people should know about this place. The manager and staff acted like hostile hosts and even came to insult me. I couldn't sleep in the room because it smelled damp and moldy, so I had to find another hotel. The room looked out over a shabby inner courtyard, while the booking pictures showed nice windows and sunshine. Everything felt outdated, and the atmosphere was dreadful, with a very bad energy. My trip to Paris became horrible. I booked only a few hours earlier, but they still refused a refund even though the room was so different from the pictures. I strongly advise against staying here. Avoid it.

Not recommended at all. The breakfast was far below an acceptable standard, and the staff were unhelpful and unprofessional.
