Hôtel de Banville

Your location is excellent, and the receptionist was the best part of the hotel for me. She was very helpful and kind. The elevator was out of order for two days, and climbing six floors was difficult with my knee pain. Breakfast choices were limited, though the woman there was nice. We're Muslim, and ham was the only meat available. Please offer more choices next time.

The whole team were caring, warm, and nice to guests. I also really enjoyed the breakfast, and my room was spacious and pleasant. The hotel was very comfortable, and I had a great stay.

I paid for the most expensive room listed on their website and still felt scammed. The bathroom was blocked, so I couldn't use it, and nobody came to check what was wrong. I had to leave without taking a bath. I paid less at another hotel on my last trip to Paris and had a much better stay. This time I spent more and left without even washing. I wish I'd listened to the review someone posted two months earlier. The staff were terrible.

The 24-hour desk staff were always prompt and polite. My daughter, who is discerning, said the breakfast was excellent, although I didn't try it myself. I would definitely return to this quietly elegant hotel, which sits in a lovely, peaceful residential area near public transport. The rooms are quite spacious for an older hotel, and the claw-foot tubs were wonderful for a soak after 15,000 steps around Paris, the city of parks. Thick terry robes and slippers made it even nicer. There aren't many outlets, though. I had to unplug the desk lamp to charge all my admittedly numerous devices.
