Des Grands Hommes Pantheon

We stayed on the second floor with our six year old son, in a room with a lovely view of the Pantheon, two comfortable beds, and a great bathroom with both a shower and tub. The room was clean, quiet and very comfortable, and seemed recently refurbished. The staff were kind and helpful too. It may be listed as three stars, but to us it deserves four. There is an elevator, despite what another review says, and it goes down to the breakfast level on floor -1. The nearest metro or RER stations are at least a ten minute walk away, but that keeps the hotel quiet and away from traffic. A little gem near the Pantheon.

The shower is wonderful, with both an overhead rain style head and a handheld one with adjustable settings. The place is clean and classy, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. I didn't try the breakfast, but there are plenty of cafés and restaurants nearby. Come for the charm and location, but don't expect much room. The bed leaves no space to walk around, and the elevator, stairs and lobby are all tiny. That didn't spoil my appreciation for the hotel.

We were greeted by Louis, who was professional in every way. The lobby had an old fashioned luxury feel that carried into the room, which was clean and well maintained. There’s a lift too. From our window we could see the Pantheon across the street, so it was the first place we visited. The hotel is handy for lots of Paris sights, including Luxembourg Gardens, the Catacombs, Notre Dame and Saint Chapelle, as well as the Pantheon. We were very comfortable during our stay at Hotel des Grands Hommes and have no hesitation recommending it. This is exactly the kind of hotel you hope to find in Paris.

It's busy around here in the daytime, but quiet at night, and there's so much within walking distance. The staff were attentive and truly amazing. I had a great stay in a comfortable, lovely room. The beds were maybe a little too soft for me, but the Pantheon view made the splurge worthwhile.
