Hotel Duquesne Eiffel

The Eiffel Tower view was fantastic, and the location is great for walking around. The room was small, but that was fine. Fresh croissants in the morning were exceptional. The shower, though, had a lot of black mold and the drains were clogged or very slow. The water provided wasn’t sealed and looked really dirty, so we didn’t drink it.

The location is awesome, but the rooms are so small there’s hardly a proper place for your suitcases. I don’t understand why hotels don’t show a true picture. Our carpet was wet and moldy because of a leak in the wall. We told three reception leads, and after three promises, nothing was done. They offered one day of free breakfast as appeasement. It cost $850 for three days in a wet, moldy room. Update after the reply: Capital One had to push for it, and then you refunded 10%. That still doesn’t make staying in a damp, moldy room okay. I do appreciate that the staff tried to help.

Islem, Melanie, Ocean and Bilal made us feel at home from the minute we arrived. They were so welcoming and professional, and the hotel was perfectly located. Everything stayed very clean, and the spa was spotless, relaxing and beautifully maintained. We had an amazing stay, with exceptional service from beginning to end.

The spa was a treat: for €20 per person, you get it to yourselves for 45 minutes. I loved the red infrared sauna and the large jacuzzi bath. The rooms are small, as is normal in France, but the space is used wisely and the bathroom is a decent size. The hotel is just minutes from the Eiffel Tower, with lots of good, lively restaurants nearby. The staff are really friendly and seem to enjoy their work. I’ve worked in hotels myself, so I can tell when people care about giving good service. Loved staying here, and we’ll be back.
