Hotel Etoile Maillot

Getting around was easy from this convenient spot, a short distance from major Paris attractions and with metro access nearby. Breakfast had a nice range of choices and set us up well for days exploring the city. The hotel’s contemporary design was appealing, and everything was impeccably clean and carefully maintained. Most of all, the staff were polite, professional, and truly kind. Etan stood out for his professionalism and friendly manner, and made the stay even more enjoyable.

The hotel didn’t feel like a four-star place, and I’ve stayed at similarly priced hotels nearby with better service. The neighborhood was nice, with good restaurants, and the hotel was well placed for transport and the convention center. My room had very few supplies, just two or three tea bags and a couple of coffee capsules. The shower head wouldn’t stay attached overhead, so I had to hold it, and the water pressure wasn’t great. The safe didn’t work. I told reception when I arrived and they said they’d fix it in the morning, but nobody came even after I reminded them, so I gave up. The cleaning staff were efficient, though the staff overall weren’t very friendly.

For a conference, I booked this boutique hotel without expecting much from the location, but some of the staff were really friendly and helpful. Farizah at the front counter, Rahul in the kitchen, and another woman in the kitchen were especially nice. It isn’t central, but it’s close to the metro and arc de tromphe. There’s a supermarket across the street and restaurants nearby, which is convenient. The room was decent.

A cozy place with helpful, smiling staff. There’s wine available around the clock, and guests can use a cooling machine. It felt like a real French experience 😊
